*Wardrobe is 1960s! Even though the year is 1969, the TOWN of Oxford is still stuck in the past somewhat... so think 1964-ish. All women are to wear dresses, the "Jackie O" look. Bring hats, gloves, purses, chunky bead jewelry, jackets and sweaters... it is fall/winter season. Men should wear suites and ties... a few dark suits are okay, but we want to see LOTS of pastels, skinny pants, short sleeved and long sleeved shirts, sear sucker suits (pastel blues, greens, etc...). No red!!

Everyone should bring three changes of clothing! Some for fall and some for winter.

*COME TO SET WITH YOUR HAIR AND MAKE UP READY! (remember, this is 1969, NO highlights or modern hair styles). Caucasian middle aged and older women should set your hair w/rollers the night before, and come to set with hair combed and styled for a 1970 look. Younger women and children (female) should wear your hair straight. African American women have the same hair style rule except you may also wear an afro if possible. Caucasian Men in conservative scenes, should wear hair clean cut, with medium length side burns if possible. Men can have part on left or right side, or straight back. If you are cast for a more radical scene, or youth scene, we will let you know appropriate hair styles. African American males should wear various size natural afros.

*Payment: Extras will be paid minimum wage, then time & a half after 8 hours of work. Featured extras and stand-ins will make the same rate, with an added $10.00 bump on your voucher. You'll receive a check in the mail, approximately 2 - 6 weeks after your work week. Please bring your drivers license or some picture form of I.D. with you to set, for filling out your paperwork.

The dates of this movie are 1969 and 1970, we are asking the ladies to come with their makeup camera ready, please remember no frosty eye shadows, no modern lipsticks, no eye liner, for those that remember these days it will be a nice flash back for those that don’t you’ll look like your parents. Because we are filming the same scene over a few days we will be asking that you wear sunscreen, we don’t want you changing colors during the scene, we will also ask the ladies to keep their lip color with them at all times for touch ups, a pressed powder in translucent will also assist us in keeping you looking fresh.

Females
Come with foundation already on.(Light application, mostly powder with a bit of blush)
Allowable lip colors are Red, Pink and Coral.(blotted-light application) No lipliner
Nails short with no polish or red polish, no modern manicures or nail polishes.
You may be required to wear sunscreen. (suncreen undermakeup)
Please come prepared

Males
Please allow sideburns to grow.
Mustaches and Beards may need to be shaved or groomed.(as neat as possible)
You may be required to wear sunscreen.

BLOOD DONE SIGN MY NAME

We are looking for HUNDREDS of extras of all ages and ethnicities. Since this is a 1970's period film, hair styles need to be accurate with that era... no modern cuts/highlights. Extras will be paid minimum wage.

We start filming in May 2008, in Charlotte, Shelby and Monroe, NC areas.

We will also be looking for cars from the 1960's and late 1950s. If you have a car from this era (and it runs), please bring a photo of your car as well.

*If you are hired as an extra, you will need to commit to working approximately 12 - 14 hours per day on set, if not longer! Filming will be during the weekdays also, so please note that accordingly.

BLOOD DONE SIGN MY NAME is a film directed by Jeb Stuart (screenplay writer of Die Hard, The Fugitive, Another 48 Hours, and more). One of the stars is Nate Parker (The Great Debators, Pride, and more)
